Who we are

Digital Content Labs Ltd (“DCL”, “we”) is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Registered in England and Wales, company no. 16025183. Registered office: 117 Seaforth Avenue, New Malden, KT3 6JU. Contact: hello@digitalcontentlabs.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Details you send us through forms or email: name, email, phone, company and your message.
  • Files you upload for staging or CGI work, and order details for customer accounts.
  • Website usage data collected through Google Analytics, only with your consent.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to enquiries and deliver work you ask for (contract, or steps before a contract).
  • To run and secure our website and keep business records (legitimate interests, legal obligation).
  • To understand how the site is used (consent, via analytics cookies).

Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run the business, under contract: Krystal Hosting (website and email hosting, UK), Google (Analytics), Uploadcare (file uploads), Calendly (booking calls), and AI providers such as Anthropic when processing project material you send us. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work: up to 2 years. Client and accounting records: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as UK law requires.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site, and analytics cookies only if you agree. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, or ask for a copy to move elsewhere. Email hello@digitalcontentlabs.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

DCL project enquiries and the Lab

When you submit the project enquiry form, Digital Content Labs uses your name, email address, selected service and project description to respond. Your enquiry is saved privately in our WordPress administration and a notification is sent to our business mailbox. Please do not include patient information, passwords or other sensitive material. Contact hello@digitalcontentlabs.co.uk about access, correction or deletion of your enquiry.

The Lab’s business brief builder processes your answers in your browser. It does not send those answers to DCL or an AI service and does not retain them after you leave the page. Downloaded briefs remain under your control. Review the contents before sharing them with another service.

The contact form uses a temporary submission identifier in session storage to prevent duplicate enquiries, plus short-lived security and rate-limit checks. Optional measurement of site interactions is gated on statistics consent. An enquiry submission is measured only after the site confirms it was saved; email-link clicks and booking-link clicks are separate interactions.
